Morning, dear reader friends!
Today's post is one that I am particularly excited about as it combines two of my favorite things: books and coziness. You can't get much better than that!
When I think of cozy books, what comes to mind is what delights the innermost depths of my soul. What makes me happy and brings bliss to my heart. What exudes the comforts of home, the joys of seasonal beauty, sweet romance, loving family relationships, the enjoyment of life's simple pleasures and not always having to seek happiness in big ways but finding it in ordinary, everyday moments. Delicious feasts and foods mentioned, feelings of nostalgia and all the good things of a bygone era cherished and remembered, and really just all the things that warm the heart. When I think of cozy books, what comes to mind is whatever sparks joy and delight in my soul. Coziness is way more than just a vibe for me. It's a feeling, a lifestyle, a state of mind, a peace in my heart. For me, it's a necessity. It's just so much more than a vibe, and certainly far more than an "aesthetic".
To compile this book list, I went through my bookshelves and my lists of books that I've read and loved. These are books that contain all the things I listed above, at least to some extent in every single book. My favorite kind of book is one is comforting and cozy and sparks delight. I have found these cozy books across several genres that I have come to love.
And while I wish that I could share a list of autumnal books, as that was my original plan and hope, I find it difficult to find good books that I really love and enjoy that are truly autumnal. So instead of an autumnal book list, I have opted for my coziest book list. And that truly is what this is.
Also, I want to note that I am not mentioning any cozy mysteries on this list. I have just recently delved into this genre after my mom loving it for decades. She is always telling me how good and fun these books are! So no cozy mysteries listed here...instead, I thought I would simply share about them as I read ones that I love. But do know that if you are looking for cozy books, the cozy mystery genre is a great place to check out. There are literally hundreds of series and lots of them have many books in each one.
