the cottage library ♥ martha's vineyard, isle of dreams

Magical. Hopeful. Beautiful. Inspiring. Encouraging. Uplifting. Lifegiving. Enchanting. Relatable. Funny. Real. Full of splendor. Just one of the absolute best books I’ve read. Ever. If there was an option to give it 10 stars, I would. Absolutely nothing about this book did I not love. Thank you, Susan Branch, for writing such a gem. It is so dear and spoke to my heart in such profound ways.

This was singlehandedly one of the most inspirational, most beautiful, most magical, absolutely, positively one of the best books I have ever, ever read!

That may seem like an overreaction or like I'm perhaps overexcited. Call it what you want. But my heart is literally bursting at the seams at how lifegiving this book was for me. It was like it was written for me. Like a gift. Like a treasure. I "felt" every single word of this book and found so much of myself on the pages. It was a true kindred spirit sort of book for me.

I would recommend this book to anyone feeling depleted or let down by life, for anyone who's having a hard time holding onto dreams and onto hope, for anyone who needs to believe in magic again, for the person living in black and white in need of color again...or for the first time, for anyone who needs to believe that there is still good things out there and on the way to and for them, for anyone who needs to just be hugged by a book. This was that book for me, in every sense of the word.

And if you'd like to have a peek, here's the page I made in my reading journal for this book...
a book this special truly deserved a special page in my journal.

Have you read any Susan Branch books before?
