A list of unknowing home comforts...

little things that make your home a haven without you even knowing it...

~ candlesticks standing crookedly in candlestick holders

~ worn-in couch cushions

~ blankets messily strewn over the back of a chair or the couch

~ halfway empty mugs on the coffee table

 ~ slippers or fuzzy socks on the bedroom floor

~ flour spilled on the countertop

~ a cupboard door that won't shut all the way

~ an unmade bed with pillows strewn over the top

~ fingerprints on the windows or front of the fridge or mirrors

~ books piled on tabletops or on the floor

~ a messy coffee table

~ mismatched dinner plates and glasses

 ~ family photos on the mantle

~ old jam jars filled with bits and bobs

~ lots of lamps and a lack of overhead lighting

~ little posie bouquets in tiny vases or jugs

~ music playing in the background whilst cooking dinner

~ a wall gallery of beautiful postcards and art prints

~ knick-knacks that you've collected over the years displayed on shelves

~ pet beds and blankets and toys over the floor

~ homemade cookies in a jar on the counter

 ~ fresh fruit and veg on the kitchen counter

~ a craft project in progress on the table

~  a puzzle in progress on the coffee table

~ mismatched pillowcases

~ worn-in wooden furniture

~ simple curtains on your windows

~ twinkly fairy lights hanging in little corners

~ bunting draped over windows and doorways

~ fresh-from-the-dryer laundry piled on the corner of the couch

~ candles lit at dinner time  

~ tiny juice glasses for breakfast

~ a little tea corner in your kitchen with your favorite mugs, tea blends, and a jar of honey
