to be "authentic" is to be "not imaginary, false or an imitation".
to be "authentic" is to be genuine, veritable, bona fide, being actually and precisely what is claimed".
I came across this definition of the word authentic just a few days after I published my post on authentic beauty. It was rather coincidental. But the timing was perfect, as this definition totally, completely, and most perfectly explains everything I was trying to say in that post. You can read it right here.
And perhaps you'll ponder the meaning of what it truly means to be authentic. While so many talk of authenticity these days, most are totally off the true meaning of what authenticity really means.
