Coziness & Candlelight Baking Series ♥ Scrumptious Peach Crumble + A Vlog!

Good morning, lovely readers!

I'm back today with another perfect-for-summertime recipe. But, if you happen to crave this dessert in the middle of winter, on a snowy day, with icicles hanging outside your window, you can still enjoy it. That's because it calls for canned peaches!

My dad loves peach cobbler...like, it's his absolute favorite. Ever since I was a little girl, though, I really did not like it. As much as he loves it is as much as I hate it. I don't know if it's the recipe we use...it calls for a ton of sugar because that's how he likes it {ha!}...or just peach cobbler in general, but it's never been a dessert that I liked to eat.

Last summer, however, I was introduced to the idea of a peach crumble. Now let me tell you something about me: I love a good crumbly topping. On a muffin or pie or whatever else you can put a crumbly topping on, I'm there for it! So a peach crumble really appealed to me. I fiddled around with a handful of ingredients and came up with a recipe that my whole entire family loves. My dad still prefers his beloved peach cobbler, but he enjoys this crumble, too.

Earlier in the summer, I made a crumble for our July fourth celebration and filmed a short little vlog along the way. You are warmly invited to see the newest vlog on my YouTube channel HERE. It is also the first video in my new "Coziness and Candlelight Baking Series" which will be ongoing and added to whenever I film a baking vlog. I often bake with a candle lit and music playing in the background, both of which provide a lovely, cozy atmosphere, so I hope to capture a bit of that in this series. And of course, you're invited to join me!

Now for the recipe!

Scrumptious Peach Crumble

In a deep baking dish, pour 60 ounces of peaches that have been well-drained. Sprinkle the peaches liberally with cinnamon.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the following:

1 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup flour of choice
1/2 cup sugar (pure cane, brown, or coconut)
2 tsp. cinnamon

Pour in 1/2 cup of melted (or softened) coconut oil and stir together to make the crumble.
Sprinkle all over the top of the peaches.

Bake in a 350*F oven for 30 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with coconut whipped cream or plant-based vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy!

Blessings on your day, friends!
